The five MAC lipsticks you need to own this spring

From L-R
Flat Out Fabulous, Up The Amp, Speak Louder, Lady Danger & Vegas Volt

Being as the suns finally decided to make an appearance it's now feeling less winter, more spring- my inner sun worshiper is absolutely loving it. However, this does mean that the vampy lipsticks have now indeed been thrown to the back of my drawer- mind you I better not say cya to Rebel and Diva just yet, it'll probably feel like winter again next week. Don't you just love England and it's unpredictable weather?! For the time being it's all about the coral, orange and girly pink shades so I decided to put together my top five favourite MAC lipsticks to wear over the spring months, for any of you lot wanting to splash the cash on a new lippy in time for summer, here goes...

Flat Out Fabulous | Shade- Bright pinky/purple | Finish- Retro matte
This is my most recent MAC lipstick purchase and it's already became a firm favourite.  If you're looking a little on the tired side a slick of this will brighten your whole face up no problem. As it's a retro matte finish a lot of people complain that they find it drying but as long as you prep your lips before-hand and make sure they're super moisturised then it's no problem at all. Oh, I can't not mention the fact that this stays put all day, it really doesn't budge- there's no need to reapply even after drinking and eating!

Up The Amp | Shade- Dark lilac | Finish- Amplified creme
Ahh, Up The Amp- can you tell I love purple lipstick yet? This is such a gorgeous shade for both winter and summer, so extremely versatile. As far as purple lippy goes this is the one I'd recommend if you aren't yet brave enough to don bright, in your face lips. I also find that this shade really compliments your skin if you've got a tan, obviously a winner in my eyes for that reason alone.

Speak Louder | Shade- Medium pink with a hint of coral | Finish- Cremesheen
This is one of my fave shades to wear in the daytime with smoky gold eyes, it's such a girly pink and I love the slight hint of coral. I really do think that Speak Louder would suit anybody so if you're after a pink lipstick that isn't too 'Barbie' then this ones for you.

Lady Danger | Shade- Bright red, with orange undertones | Finish- Matte
As Lady Danger has a slight orange undertone to it its the perfect spring/summer shade- it literally screams sun, sea and cocktails! You don't often come across orangey red shades so this one is sure to get you noticed as it's something a little different from your usual classic reds. I'm a huge fan of the matte finish at the minute, they stay put all day long, and this one is certainly no exception.

Vegas Volt | Shade- Coral/Orange | Finish- Amplified creme
Rumour has it Orange lipstick is going to be big this spring/summer, you can't flick through a magazine without it being mentioned so I guess it's the 'in' colour at the moment. Trouble is orange lipstick is one of those things you've got to be extremely confident in order to wear, that's where Vegas Volt comes in though. Unlike other orange shades this is more on the subtle side, it solves that 'is everyone going to stare at me' problem, you'll stand out for all of the right reasons when wearing this though.

So there we have it, my top five MAC lipsticks to wear over the spring/summer months. Which one is your fave and do you have any recommendations? I'm always on the lookout for a new one- lipstick addict probs, ay.
